Coming up this summer my dad and I will be traveling to Papua New Guinea for an exploratory trip to see if this may be the location God is leading me in which to serve as a future missionary. We intend to spend several weeks in the town of Madang, a coastal city on the north shores of the island and the launching point for the ministry of FinisTerre Missions into the mission fields.
We will be spending our time with Bryan and Kerra Twombly and their family, the current missionaries serving in the town of Madang who are leading Team Madang – a church planting ministry dedicated to serving in this town. You can learn more about their ministry and get updates by checking them out here: Twombly Family
We intend to get a “feel” for the climate and culture of PNG – learning to move around and speak with the locals, to shop in their markets, and to survive in a hot and humid environment. Due to the fact that travel is difficult and cost to make it into the remote villages is high, we may be limited to just exploring some of the smaller villages surrounding Madang.
The dates for our trip are July 20 through August 11, 2024.
We intend to keep everyone posted on our travels and experiences. We would also like to hear from you! Would you consider joining me in providing prayer and financial support for this trip.
